Wirecast 7.5 Adds Periscope API – Twitter Integration

Periscope – Twitter is here!

We are excited to announce that Wirecast now supports Periscope – Twitter API with native live streaming inside Wirecast. This means that you can employ Wirecast to live stream full-motion video to Periscope.tv that will appear natively within Twitter.

Now with Periscope – Twitter available as a native destination in Wirecast, you can add rich, professional productions values to the live streams in your Twitter feed. This is something that we are confident will win you more followers and bring more fans to your page.

In fact, with over 300 million active users combined, Twitter and Periscope are among the world’s most popular social media and real time news platforms. We are excited that you are now able to connect with these followers on a whole new level using Wirecast.

Try it for yourself

To try for yourself, just select “Periscope/Twitter” from Wirecast’s output destinations, login to your account and start streaming!  You can choose to preview your streams on the platform, or start and stop them automatically with Wirecast. Choose to notify your followers when you go live, or not — it’s up to you.

We look forward to seeing your streams on Twitter – be sure to tag us!

This new feature is just one of many from our release of Wirecast version 7.5. Click here to download a free trial of Wirecast 7.5.
