How To Effectively Light Your Green Screen

Matt ForbesIn the following video, I explore the basic principles for lighting a green screen and your subjects to get that perfect composition you’ve always wanted.  Green screens and blue screens (and sometimes other color screens too) have been used by Hollywood and the media for decades, but it’s becoming more and more common for smaller production companies, independent film makers and even 12 year old kids to create great looking stuff with green screens.  And with a fantastic product like Wirecast, you can combine the power of professional live web-casting with virtual sets, colorful backdrops and amazing environments that will make your show look like a million bucks – maybe even 2 million bucks!  But to make the most of your studio productions, it’s good to have a basic understanding of how lighting a green screen, and more importantly – the proper balance of lighting, will affect the overall look and feel of your productions.
