Troubleshooting

  • If authentication fails, or Wirecast connects and then crashes, check Use Backup Server. YouTube’s primary servers are sometimes down for maintenance.
  • Custom encoders can’t stream to YouTube. Use them only for recording to disk.
  • A yellow or red stream indicator means packets are backing up. Lower your bitrate or run a bandwidth test.
  • No YouTube account yet? Click Sign Up in the destination settings.
